We're excited to announce that the Commonwealth Connect program continues to expand! The newest town to launch is Gloucester, MA. We're thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with this town!
Gloucester is located on Cape Ann -- a gorgeous, rocky cape first mapped by the explorer John Smith. Home to 28,789 local residents, Gloucester has become a vital hub of the fishing industry (it's been reported that the first schooner was built there in 1713!), as well as a popular summer destination for many vacationers across the world. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the delights Gloucester has to offer, including heading to its noted landmark "Man at the Wheel", watching a Gloucester Stage Company production, or feasting at its largest annual event, St. Peter's Fiesta.
The new mobile app will allow citizens, residents and visitors to report problems such as potholes, graffiti, drainage and flooding quickly and easily via web tools and mobile apps. These reports are then forwarded directly to departments throughout the town with all the information needed to get the job done.
The Commonwealth Connect mobile app is available for download on Android and iPhone. In addition to the mobile apps, residents can send reports to the town using the widget on the town's website and seeclickfix.com.We look forward to working with the town and residents to promote openness, engagement, and accessibility!
