Our #FixFriday is more like a #FixerFriday.
Y'all may have seen this cool piece posted earlier about how St. Pete and Pinellas County's SeeClickFix app is being used as a national model for improving citizen services.
Darden Rice, a Council Member from St. Pete wrote this super sweet post congratulating David Flintom, who runs St. Pete's Mayor's Action Center and is a bonafide SeeClickFix champion.
The post received quite a bit of attention (not that we're counting "likes" over here. . .) including some grin-worthy comments from St. Pete residents who love and appreciate the work David has done to implement SeeClickFix.
One comment stood out from Erin McGill Nobles. She said:
"We love SeeClickFix! Our 9 year old son uses it often to report neighborhood issues and used it as a 'taking action' project last year at school. It is awesome how responsive our city government is!"
You know what's also awesome, Erin? You and your Stupendous Man kid! One of the ideas we hold close to our *wrenchhearts* here at SeeClickFix is that our mobile platform can afford more and more young people the ability to engage easily with their community. We want SeeClickFix to be an intuitive, simple, and fun way for younger folks to make an impact in their neighborhoods.
Thank you Civic Kid! Congratulations again David!
