Cumberland, RI's motto is "Great History. Bright Future": a fitting phrase that perfectly captures a town steeped in history dating back to 1635 that continues to implement new, innovative technology for its 33,000+ citizens.
Today, in efforts to continue to improve citizen services, Cumberland is launching a new 311 mobile app ("Cumberland 311") with SeeClickFix! It will allow the town's citizens to report non-emergency issues in their neighborhoods and communities. "The Town of Cumberland wanted residents to have another avenue to report non-emergency issues and concerns that is important to them," said George Stansfield, the Town of Cumberland's Chief of Staff, "[SeeClickFix] will give them another tool for reporting quality of life issues and receive quick acknowledgements that their issue and or concern is being addressed."
With the free, easy-to-use app and web tools, Cumberland citizens will now be able to provide town staff with pictures, videos, specific descriptions, and more -- valuable information needed to get the job done efficiently. In addition, the platform also offers a centralized and integrated management system, whereby town officials can engage further with citizens, track issues and monitor success.
"The Town of Cumberland is looking forward to providing its residents with a reporting tool that will assist them with reporting non-emergency quality of life issues and concerns," said Stansfield.
