And now, we’re excited to announce that Portage, MI’s 46,292+ population will now be able to report neighborhood issues directly to Portage City Hall. The city wanted to upgrade their homegrown system with a more efficient, transparent and knowledge-based type system. With the free, easy-to-use app and web tools, Portage citizens will now be able to provide city staff with pictures, videos, specific descriptions, and more — valuable information needed to get the job done.
With SeeClickFix, Portage has doubled the number of request types for citizens to select and the interface. This will make it easier for citizens to report issues and provide more accurate location information. In addition, this will cut down on the number of phone calls and email messages regarding status, as the correspondence for acknowledging and closing issues is standardized.
The city chose SeeClickFix in large part because of its affordability and quality compared to other kinds of systems. In addition, the SeeClickFix customer service has been excellent and, perhaps, the second-most important aspect of the platform.
The mobile app is available for download on Android and iPhone. In addition to the mobile apps, residents can send reports to the city’s website and seeclickfix.com.
