With the launch of Report It! Newport powered by SeeClickFix, the city’s 24,000+ citizens will be empowered to report non-emergency issues directly to Newport City Hall through a mobile or web tool. The city is committed to finding as many ways as possible to increase and encourage citizen involvement — and with more and more citizens using smartphones to connect, the city is utilizing technology too. Not only does the city hope to use Report It! Newport to result in more active citizen involvement with the city, but as a tool to help staff with better management and reporting of service requests and issues.
“We are excited to launch our new Report It! app and web page as an enhanced way to help keep our city running smoothly,” said City of Newport Mayor Jeanne-Marie Napolitano, “By providing a quick and efficient way for residents to report problems we are all helping city staff keep our hometown safe and maintained.”
Newport is thrilled to provide this new service delivery tool to citizens that will help improve the quality of life in the city for everyone.
The mobile app is available for download on Android and iPhone. In addition to the mobile apps, residents can send reports to seeclickfix.com.
