Today, Tukwila, WA launched SeeClickFix — a reporting tool for their 19,000+ citizens. By bringing this kind of technology to their community, Tukwila is leading the charge for providing excellent citizen services for towns across the state.
When the city began exploring this technology, the goal for Mayor Allan Ekberg was to provide residents another opportunity to report issues to the city. Most importantly, Mayor Ekberg stressed the importance of residents having the ability to watch their issues resolve over time.
They reviewed numerous others vendors in the process, and SeeClickFix stood out as a system that felt more intuitive and accessible to users. For example, SeeClickFix includes mapping technology that allows non-app users access to all of the issues, their status, and the interactivity available through the comment section.
“We are excited to offer this additional tool for engagement with the City of Tukwila. While the traditional ways of reporting issues via phone and in person will continue to exist, our goal is that Tukwila Works! enhances communications and provides a fast, effective way for residents to send an issue to exactly the right staff member with the expertise to find the solution.”-Allan Ekberg, Mayor
Tukwila Works can be downloaded on the Apple and Google Play stores.
