Fort Dodge, IA Launches SeeClickFix for 24,000+ Citizens

Today, Fort Dodge, IA launched SeeClickFix, a citizen reporting tool, for its 24,000+ citizens. The city has been implementing Lean Government improvement for over 5 years. Now, SeeClickFix is a part of the agenda, making it easier for citizens to report issues - like potholes and sidewalk issues - directly to City Hall.

Fort Dodge’s custom SeeClickFix mobile app - Connect Fort Dodge - will make it easier for citizens to make service requests and access other important city information. They hope that SeeClickFix will help the city experience more citizen engagement, as it will allow citizens to receive confirmation and updates on their concerns.

And because incoming issues can now be directed to proper staff automatically, Fort Dodge is also hoping to see increased response rates and issue resolution rates. In addition, issues can be monitored for its progress and completion by both staff and the public, increasing accountability and efficiency.

Fort Dodge is one of the first cities in Iowa to partner with SeeClickFix, and their leadership in efficiency, transparency, and citizen engagement is becoming clearer and clearer.
