Sterling Heights, MI Launches SeeClickFix, Joins Vibrant Michigan Network

Today, Sterling Heights, MI is launching SeeClickFix, a citizen reporting tool, for its 130,000+ citizens. Citizens can now report issues - like potholes, graffiti, and more - and engage directly with their city government. The tool will also help handle issues unique to Sterling Heights, especially snow and post-storm issues.

Sterling Heights is joining a vibrant list of SeeClickFix partners in Michigan. As the second largest suburb of Metro Detroit - and the fourth largest city in the state - Sterling Heights stands out as an innovator helping build a stronger citizen network in the Detroit area. Their custom mobile app Sterling Fix-It will give citizens a personalized platform with which to communicate with their city government. This will make reporting issues and otherwise interacting with government easier and more effective.

The city is also using SeeClickFix for helping manage internal workflow with departments like Public Works. Sterling Heights will see a more effective and efficient way to route service requests, track progress, and keep citizens updated about the resolution. SeeClickFix will also integrate with Cityworks, a software program already utilized in Sterling Heights.

The partnership is clear evidence of Sterling Heights’ continued commitment to efficiency, transparency, and citizen engagement. It is also a big step forward for an even better Michigan and Metro Detroit area.

Sterling Fix-It can be downloaded for iPhone and Android devices.
