Beaumont joins a network of SeeClickFix partners in Texas, which includes cities like Houston and Kyle. Beaumont is continuing to lead the way in increasing resident engagement and government transparency through the implementation of a better citizen-facing mobile app.
SeeClickFix is now integrated with Lucity, Beaumont’s pre-existing work order management system, and Beaumont 311 will work well with the city’s internal management practices. The app will allow residents to provide the city with descriptions, pictures, and videos of the issue, helping the correct departments to get the job done quickly and efficiently.
Furthermore, with SeeClickFix, when a resident reports an issue, it will go directly into the city’s issue management system, streamlining the process from report to resolution. The mobile app will join a variety of other ways citizens can report an issue, including phone and email, and Beaumont hopes to see more issues reported due to the improved user experience.
With new and improved web and mobile apps, as well as a seamless integration into their asset management system, Beaumont aims to work more efficiently and engage more citizens in the process. The city is excited to encourage residents to get more involved in their communities, and its emphasis on citizen engagement, bolstered by increased internal efficiency, is clear.
