Mt. Pleasant, MI Launches SeeClickFix for 26,000+ citizens

Today, Mt. Pleasant, MI is launching SeeClickFix, a citizen reporting tool for its 26,000+ citizens. Citizens of Mt. Pleasant can now connect directly with City Hall on the city website or through a custom branded mobile app called MP City Link. If citizens see a quality-of-life issue in their neighborhood — like illegal dumping, storm related issues, graffiti, potholes and more — they can now easily and seamlessly report it with descriptions, photos, video, and automatic geolocation.

Mt. Pleasant is joining an expansive and vibrant network of SeeClickFix partners cities in Michigan, which includes Big Rapids, Lansing, Portage, Grand Haven, Detroit, Ann Arbor, and many more. Michigan is emerging as a leader in transparency and efficiency, creating a fabric of towns committed to improving citizen services and making the experience seamless for citizens. Mt. Pleasant is the latest Michigan city to take initiative in building a better, more engaged relationship between government and citizens.

Now, whenever there is a neighborhood issue in Mt. Pleasant, citizens can report it using MP City Link and remain confident that their city government will receive the report and keep them updated on the progress of work. Each report will be automatically routed to the correct department based on the request type, eliminating the need to research where to report particular issues and making the process simpler and more transparent.

MtPleasant-FINAL In addition, the app will allow citizens to view latest city news and events, pay utility bills and parking tickets, register for Parks and Recreation activities, contact City staff, and more.

With this new one-stop portal for Mt. Pleasant citizens, the city hopes to engage a greater number of citizens in a higher quality manner. Mt. Pleasant is excited to offer a way for citizens to interact with local government using the tools that are already in the palm of their hands. This partnership with SeeClickFix is one step forward towards a better Mt. Pleasant and a better Michigan.

“We’re always looking for new ways to increase engagement with the members of our community. With so many of us taking our smartphones and tablets everywhere we go, we are excited to offer this mobile-friendly tool for residents to both stay informed of City happenings, as well as report non-emergency issues we can address to make Mt. Pleasant the best it can be.”
